The Car Fighting course aims to examine which techniques, tactics and procedures (TTP) are best adopted during a firefight from inside a vehicle or outside of it. It is clear that in an increasingly urbanized environment the use and presence of vehicles is a constant; it is therefore necessary for the personnel operating on the ground to develop TTP’s that allow them to react with maximum effectiveness to a threat. During the course of the above course, which firing positions are most effective will be examined by firing guns and rifles from inside a vehicle and / or outside it, evaluating which parts of the bodywork can represent a “hard cover” for the shooter. The ballistic component will be studied by testing different calibers, balls and points of impact to allow the shooter to understand what are the real penetration capabilities of the ammunition. This last factor is fundamental and substantially affects the TTP’s adopted or to be used. A further training phase will be that inherent to the concept of “move and cover” and “team” for which in the executive part complex exercises will be prepared for two or more people who will react to the threat by simultaneously engaging multiple targets until the phase of release from the point of contact .
