Self Defence Course

Self Defence Course consists of 8 coloured belts (white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, black) divided into 3 levels (basic, advanced, expert). Each belt advancement of the Operator is subject to passing a specific examination to obtain the qualification and level of “FDKM Israeli Ju-Jitsu / Krav Maga Operator“. Each module has a specific teaching programme and a minimum number of training hours.

1ST BASIC LEVEL

At the end of the 40th hour the athlete will achieve the first qualification of yellow belt, in the following 40 hours he/she will achieve the qualification of orange belt. At the overall end of the 80 hours, the athlete will acquire the qualification of “FDKM Israeli Ju-Jitsu / Krav Maga Operator – 1st Level Basic”.

During the examinations, the athlete must demonstrate familiarity and fluency in the application of defence technique with particular attention to balance and control.

2ND ADVANCED LEVEL

At the end of the 40th hour the athlete will attain the qualification of green belt, in the next 40 hours he/she will attain the qualification of blue belt and in the next 40 hours he/she will attain the qualification of purple belt. At the overall end of the 120 hours, the athlete will gain the qualification of “FDKM Israeli Ju-Jitsu / Krav Maga Operator – 2nd Level Advanced”.

During the examinations, the student will have to prove that he or she masters basic techniques and landings very well, has a good choice of time to apply the technique and knows the principles of anticipation.

3RD LEVEL EXPERT

At the end of the 40th hour the athlete will attain the qualification of brown belt and in the following 40 hours will attain the qualification of black belt. At the overall end of the 80 hours, the athlete will gain the qualification of “FDKM Israeli Ju-Jitsu – Krav Maga Operator – 3rd Level Expert”.

During the examinations, the student will have to prove that he or she has mastered all the techniques learned so far, will have to be well versed in the principles of unbalancing and landing, levers and their correct application, and will also have to have an excellent choice of time for the application of techniques and be well versed in the principles of anticipating them.

Those who wish to pursue a career as an instructor must also have the technical knowledge to be able to independently teach a class of the lower qualifications and/or belts, and have the ability to properly motivate athletes and handle every possible scenario.

REQUIREMENTS

Everyone, regardless of age, can participate in courses to acquire the qualification of “FDKM Israeli Ju-Jitsu – Krav Maga Operator“, at the same time as registering in FDKM, you will have:

FDKM APP free of charge;
Digital Budopass;
FDKM membership;
AICS membership;
Official FDKM Allievi jersey (to be purchased in the store: FDKM Merchandising);
Mandatory basic insurance included in AICS membership;
Supplementary insurance (only if requested by the athlete during registration);
Non-competition medical examination (valid for one year) required for registration;
Electrocardiogram examination (valid for two years) required for registration.

At the end of each level, upon passing the examination, the athlete will be awarded a certificate of qualification acquired and a certificate of belt acquired.

FDKM CERTIFICATION FOR STUDENTS

FDKM CERTIFICATES

All belt and student level certificates have been revised and vectorised to ensure high quality printing at all times. The certificates are recognised by the CONI thanks to the sports promotion body AICS. Of all the new features, the most important is the inclusion of a QrCode (guarantor of the authenticity of the certificates), in fact, by scanning it, its validity can be checked on the official fdkm.eu website. All certificates are issued by the FDKM secretariat.

We have developed an APP for you. Through the FDKM app, you will be able to check the progress of your belts and levels thanks to the integration of your digital Budopass in fact you will be able to see all the dates of your belts and levels obtained. In addition, through your QrCode in the app, you will be able to ask your instructor to track your class attendance which demonstrates and guarantees the actual hours of lessons to be able to obtain levels and belts during your training. Thanks to the app, you will have control over your data, notifications about events and much more.
